I must apologise that I have been so quiet on here for so long! I really don't know where the weeks go to.... Apart from the fact that at this time of year the hedgerows are bursting at the seams with loveliness , demanding to be painted, I have been busy painting a few more paintings of Hafodunos Hall.... You know me and ruins!.. To be honest, I went through a dry patch, and felt so much pressure of work, that I needed to get back to what I instinctually want to paint, without any pressure producing work. And in doing that, I found my mojo again. I think it is really important to be true to yourself as an artist, rather than painting what you think could be commercially successful. Of course everyone wants to make a living, but in art, it is quite possible to sell your soul. Going with your own flow allows you to take time to experiment and make decisions that will take your work forward. Anyway, I have also painted quite a bit for the local art show, and now am on to new work to take to Ireland.
Also, in July I am doing a series of art lessons in Conwy Art & Craft; Conwy. I think there is one place left... So will get new work up here soon. Meantime, happy painting, and enjoy beautiful June...
