It has just come to my attention that www.wallpart.com is using and selling my artwork without my permission . It seems they have sourced at lest one image from the article I did for H Blyth recently that didnt have the copyright watermark on it. I have emailed them, but it is very distressing. I am not the only one, as at least two other artists I am aware of have had their work stolen. I run a very small business, and this is out and out theft of my work, that they have not had permission to use. I take care to place a watermark on my images, but on this occasion it was felt that the paintings would look better without it. A steep learning curve. I would not like to take my images down, but what to do? Except to say, please buy work from artists directly, as it hurts. My time, my ideas robbed by others.
Helfa Gelf is a Welsh Arts Trail, which allows the public access to artist's studio's across North Wales, to allow people to come and see the creative processes that go on inside the artist's mind. There are a huge variety of different artists that take part, and this is the tenth year of the event. This year in September, I am taking part, along with the renowned illustrator: Lisa Fox, and Pam Peters, who does amazing things with Kiln Fired Glass. Together, the three of us are exhibiting in the RSPB reserve in Conwy, for two weekends in September. See link here for details. http://foxemedia.wix.com/conwycreative
So do come and visit us. We will all be doing some work at the same time as chatting and eating cake! So I sense some VERY impressionistic pieces on the way! |
