butterflies

Right now, it is all about butterflies. Earlier in the year, there was a complete dearth of them round here. Anyone know why? Perhaps it was the cold wet weather.... Anyway these last few days, whenever the sun appears there are some around.. I only have a couple of weeks to prepare now for Helfa Gelf, and it looks like things might be dominated by said creatures! Am trying to sketch as many as I can.. who knows how long they will be out? Anyway, they give me lots of artistic possibilities ... I love their " transient-ness" ... which describes most seasons doesnt it?
