I have just returned from a visit to Donegal S. Ireland, to take over some new work, one of which is another Laurentic painting. This vessel sadly sank in Lough Swilly, off Malin Head in 1917, having struck two German mines. She sank within an hour and 354 souls lost their lives. It seems fitting to post this today, as not only is there a conference on the Laurentic in Letterkenny: Donegal tomorrow, but there are commemorative services this weekend at both St Mura's Church of Ireland cemetery: Fahan, and Cockhill cemetery: Buncrana, to remember those who lost their lives. I have listed the original painting under the Inishowen category, and it also appears below. The original is now in the Glashedy Art Gallery in Ballyliffin. I am also offering Limited Edition prints, and cards if wanted. If the original sells I would like to pledge 10% to the Lough Swilly Lifeboat service, who risk their lives to help us all.
