Midnight Hydrangeas. This is an original watercolour painting completed in the summer of 2019. I found the flowers on a warm evening in a neighbour’s garden in North Wales. By the time I had gathered my sketch book it was nearing midnight and the light of the moon gave a special intensity to the Persian pink of the petals.
